When you think about the list of names that’s been touted to play Thor, who would’ve thought they’d turn to Daniel Craig? Some people may have thought of it, but the buzz went more around Brad Pitt. In an interview with IESB at press junket for Quantum of Solace, Craig revealed that he was indeed approached by Marvel to play the Son of Odin.
IESB asked if Craig was interested in doing something a little different character-wise, like Thor?
Craig said no, he turned it down and laughed about it.
IESB continued, “seriously, I heard the folks over at Marvel had you on a short list to be Thor.”
Craig said yes they [Marvel] did approach him but he turned it down. He added jokingly, it would have been too much of a power trip, both Bond and Thor, and running around with long hair and a hammer.

We’ve covered the upcoming Twilight movie from it’s posters, trailers, to it’s cast, to it’s soundtrack and as the film nears its showing, we’re quite certain that the paraphernalia have been used up. The poster above is most likely the final last Twilight poster that will come out of the franchise. Enjoy.

As a movie buff, I’m often not impressed when film makers use other movies to describe their own. To me it beats the purpose of offering something new when you say it’s like this and that. But that’s me..
I also happen to be a Prince of Persia player from back when computers were so pixelated you couldn’t tell the prince of Persia from the Aladdin genie. So even if screenwriter Jordon Mechner told MTV that the movie is a lot like Pirates of the Caribbean and the Gladiator, I think in this age, you’ll be able to tell the difference.
“Prince of Persia” isn’t just going to be like “Pirates” in terms of scope and tone, the newest Disney/Bruckheimer tag-team is actually going to “do for Arabian Nights movies what ‘Pirates’ did for pirate movies,”
I’d say it’s basically ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ with maybe a half-step towards ‘Gladiator.’”
“There’ll certainly be a lot of stunts, a lot of special effects. I mean it’s Jerry Bruckheimer!” Mechner insisted. “They’re shooting in the deserts of Morocco. The scope of this is going to be massive. It’s really spectacular.”
“Well the movie’s packed with action, so there’ll be swords and horses and all the things that wouldn’t be ‘Prince of Persia’ without. But because it’s a movie, it’s about the characters and character relationships. There’s no fighting for fighting’s sake. In a game, you have a lot of fighting because you’re doing it and it’s fun,” he said. “But in a movie, fighting’s a part of the story but it’s not a movie about swordfighting.”
From that description, I think I got more of The Mummy Returns vibe which is not good at all. However it is a Jerry Bruckheimer movie and that’s quite enough credibility. The Prince of Persia movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Sir Ben Kingsley and Alfred Molina. It is set for release May 2010.

There is a bit of gray in the way the Kirsten Dunst said yes to being part of Spiderman 4. speaking to MTV promoting the movie How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, Kisten gave a quick answer before backpedaling.
“I’m in,” said the actress matter of factly. However, when pressed to make the announcement official, Dunst quickly changed her tone, and rather cryptically added, “I’m not saying anything, I know there’s rumors…”
So while Dunst wasn’t quite ready to make any announcements, her “How to Lose Friends” co-star, Pegg, took the opportunity to break some [non]-news of his own.
“I’m in ‘Spider-Man!’” joked Pegg. “I play Mary Jane’s brother. He comes to New York from the university, and he says, ‘Hey, what are you doing hanging out with that web-crawler?’”
We had reported earlier about the oddity of not being able to get Kirsten Dunst for the franchise since she’d said before that she would be in if Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire went back. Spiderman 4 and 5 are being shot back-to-back and is due for release 2010 and 2011. Kirsten Dunst plays Peter Parker’s love interest Mary Jane Watson.

It’s not yet set in stone but we’ll report it anyway. Kenneth Branagh is in negotiations to direct the upcoming Marvel movie Thor. The movie is set to hit theaters June 2010, and the character to play Thor (Brad Pitt in the buzz) should be part of the Avengers movie due out in 2011 along with Iron Man, Hulk and Captain America.
I had gotten some really good insights about the upcoming Thor movie from both comments and fans recently; among them that Thor was actually being written without, in contrast to my early speculation, the 21st century character Donald Blake.
“I have script. No donald Blake. This film is norse mythology all the way…the marvel way.” Advanced Dark, a commenter, recently wrote.

This is just one of the pictures that SlashFilm had acquired, depicting justly one of the first frames of the comic book for the movie adaptation of Kick Ass. Honestly, I think the movie is unique in itself; a cross between Kill Bill and The Little Rascals. I hope it’s violent but we’ll see…

I dont really know what to make of this news because I’m the 90’s kind of guy and I think that Beauty and the Beast is still the best animated movie ever made followed by Lion King, Aladdin, and Nemo. But some of the young squirts I know absolutely love it. Well good for them, there’s a sequel in store for them. Earlier reports had the movie set for 2012 but that looks like it’s being pushed early.

It’s not looking much but that is officially how Megatron will look in the upcoming Transformers movie confirming earlier reports that the Decepticon leader will be a tank for the franchise’s second installment entitled Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.
Two other photos are available from the Latino Review and provides a back view image of Megatron. However, do not expect something so detailed as what he’d look like in the movie. I assume all of those are being in CG so such leaks would be just like this - IMAGES!
Transformers 2 is set to hit theaters June 26, 2009.

Apologies for the stupidly long title. I wanted something that has the word’s Antman, Wasp, Eva Longoria, Avengers and Movie in it. =P
When you’re a renowned Eva Longoria seen in a studio carrying a bunch of Avenger titles, that can only mean one of two things: Either you’re trekking back highschool days to have something to talk about with your husband or you’re auditioning for the next Avengers movie.
Honestly I wouldn’t know, but the buzz brought about by the picture above as well as several other images on Flawed Hollywood suggests that Eva Longoria must’ve been going for the latter - to play the character Janet van Dyne, more commonly known as Wasp.
Speculations! Speculations!
But while most people would say that Eva must’ve been auditioning for The Avengers movie, it’s also a known fact that Janet Van Dyne is also Antman’s wife. And we do know that Antman is a movie set to be filmed on its own. So I wouldn’t necessarily rule that out.
At any rate, every single super hero movie that involves an Avenger looks to be tied up to the movie set to hit theaters in 2011. But what this story does for me is that the Avengers, whether or not Eva Longoria will be part of it, needs some femininity to quell those other super-testosterones.
