After Shia LaBeouf drove drunk, wrecked his car, injured himself, ran into police, got himself into the hospital, and cost the Transformers movie some losses for not being able to shoot a month, you’d think directory Bay would just go nuts about it.
Well, I’m sure he did, but as a professional he’d also have to make sure that everything worked out and it seems the original wee-time that they had for LaBeouf’s booboo isn’t gonna happen at all. If I were the director, which is somewhat hypothetical and delusional at the same time, I would probably be shooting other scenes. However, under Michael Bay’s watch, it seems he’d rather make adjustments to the Transformers 2 script in order to accommodate LaBeouf’s injuries.
Isn’t it amazing that for every Zac Efron news clip, Shia La Beouf has one to follow? Just like when Highschool Musical 2 was coming out, Shia LaBeouf was arrested (for not leaving a Walgreens store?), or early this year when news of Zac’s 17 Again was hitting the web, Shia got ticketed for parking on a driveway.
Hmmm.. I dont know about any buzz about Zac Efron when Shia made those homophobic comments though, or maybe he’s just the type of easily gets himself in trouble. Lolz! Anyway now that there’s a new trailer for High School Musical 3: Senior Year, the poster for LaBeouf’s own movie, Eagle Eye, is up.
I didn’t really like Shia La Beouf. He seems too corky, quirky.. kinda like the person you dont want to hang out with but never gets it. I also only get to spell his name right when I deliberately misspell it. Having said that, I did like Shia in “The Greatest Game Ever Played,” which is perhaps the only movie he’d done where he wasn’t playing sidekick. So now that he’s got a movie where he’s the centerpiece, maybe he can disprove my impression and just see him as an actor.
Eagle Eye looks interesting. It’s about a slacker caught up in an assassination plot - La Beouf’s kindov role, I presume. Teehee! It opens September 2008.
Interest in the coming Transformers movie grows anew as the title for the sequel is released. I’m usually not one to bear eye-rolling news but Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen sounds to be a villains movie (which means the franchise is most likely gearing up for a 3rd installment).
The Michael Bay movie will also feature new robots beginning with Acree, the lady-Autobot who was supposed to be in the first film. There’s also news about another airplane robot named Jetfire, a go-cart, and twin robots forming an ice cream truck.
