DiCaprio Plans to Get Married

Categories: Leonardo di Caprio, Miscellaneous

Let’s face it, like Brad Pitt, Leo isn’t that hot anymore. *oh, fanboys raise their eyebrows* He’s got a bumping belly and his roles of late have been a little immature. For godsakes he’s 33 years old. At that age, you’d need to the settle down with someone who would never leave your side.

Ok, that first paragraph was crap. I should be more positive about ‘Ol Jack’s’ plans to tie the knot. Operative word: PLANS.

“What I definitely feel a need for is to make my life about more than just my career. Just last night I was thinking to myself how little of my life has been lived normally and not spent on some far-off movie location. I want to get married and have children. In saying that, I realize I am contradicting everything I’ve said before. I absolutely believe in marriage.” [source]

DiCaprio is currently with 23-year-old Israeli model Bar Rafaeli.

Body of Lies Movie Full Trailer is Awesome

Categories: Leonardo di Caprio, Russell Crowe, Trailers, Updates

I had initially thought that Leonardo di Caprio and Russel Crowe were conversing too much in the teaser trailer; but out of respect I gave it a positive rep coz I’ve always liked the movies they made. And with the release of the full trailer of their movie Body of Lies, I think my thoughts were proved right. The movie is showing on October 10, 2008.

Leonardo di Caprio Not in Inglorious Bastard

Categories: Brad Pitt, Casting, Inglorious Bastards, Leonardo di Caprio, Updates

It would’ve been wonderful to see Leonardo di Caprio and Brad Pitt work it out with Quentin Tarantino in his movie Inglorious Bastards. Leo had earlier been in talks for the role of Colonel Hans Landa, but Tarantino has decided that a German character would be a better pick.

A better pick is an understatement to me. I think Leo would be just as good an actor as any, but one the hand, I do believe in Tarantino’s talent to make great movies. I just hope Brad Pitt would still be in it.

Also Eli Roth has gone in talks to play another Nazi dude - as Sgt. Donnie Donowitz. And while his name probably isn’t as huge as Leo’s, the dude pwnds.

Body of Lies Movie Trailer

It’s Blood Diamond and A Beautiful Mind combined, hopefully without the Oscar buzz. Russel Crowe and Leonardo di Caprio star in Ridley Scott’s Body of Lies. I’ve always respected the choices these two dudes make; I think I’ll watch it come October 10, 2008.

Pitt, DiCaprio in Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards

Categories: Brad Pitt, Inglorious Bastards, Leonardo di Caprio, Quentin Tarantino, Rumors

Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, the same folks said to play Thor and/or Captain America (depends which one you’re reading) have also been rumored to be part of Quentin Tarantino’s 2009 action flick Inglorious Bastards. Basically, the ho-hum is that Brad Pitt had talked with Tarantino last week about playing the character Lt. Aldo Raine and this week is Leonardo di Caprio’s turn in playing the antagonist “The Jew Hunter” Colonel Hans Landa.

Set in World War 2, Inglorious Bastards revolves around a group of soldiers on their way to be executed, only to get the chance for a reprieval. Tarantino describes them as “Not your normal hero types that are thrown into a big deal in World War II.” (source)

Leonardo Di Caprio as Captain America?

Categories: Avengers, Captain America, Leonardo di Caprio, Rumors

I don’t know if I’m being too zealous about this but I do see Leonardo di Caprio as Captain America. He’s got the all American, blue collar look. He’s not a pretty boy, but he’s handsome and he does have enough spunk. I’m also liking the idea of Di Caprio playing the hero because he’s been stuck with the Titanic boy image. I mean, that dude’s 33 years old now…

The history of the film is what I find most intriguing, would it start in present day or would they stay true to the origins and have him discovered frozen in a block of ice:

Source: …the superhero team the Avengers discovers Steve Rogers’ body in the North Atlantic, his costume under his soldier’s uniform and still carrying his shield. After he revives, they piece together that Rogers had been preserved in a block of ice since 1945, surviving in such a state only because of his enhancements from Operation Rebirth.

Anyway, this isn’t set in stone yet. The only thing we know is that Marvel is interested in him (and Brad Pitt, so for all you know it might be Brad as Cap and Leo as Thor).
