It’s not the popular choice - heck, it almost comes off as politically incorrect - but I would definitely watch Tropic Thunder, the movie starring Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey, which, in recent weeks, has come under fire for using their word retard. [news above]

Coming from someone who knows how it’s like to interact with the mentally handicapped, I do recognize the basis for the protest. However, I also think that we should be discerning of the issue. Were they insulting the mentally handicap? I didn’t think so.

I should catch the movie by the end of the week and will give you a review of it.
