Because this is a movie blog, it’s not new anymore to find people searching the web for various video opportunities. This is true with vloggers who are themselves could be aspiring independent film makers.
As with most young kids, one of the questions that have is how to get some videos from the web to your ipod to show to your friends. And since several young people may not be abreast with the technical complicity of the net, what you’re looking for might as well be something easy to use and one that doesn’t put a virus in your PC. I must say, while there are several options available in the web for this, one that I would like you to check out is the Jaksta Streaming Media Recorder and Converter.
Jaksta is a software that allows you to grab streaming videos from the web and convert it to the file that suits you. By getting Jaksta, you would be able to convert videos from various websites such as Google video, YouTube, AOL and even sites like Yahoo Music and Project Playlist into files suitable for your gadgets. These files include mp3 and mp4 for your iPod, wmv for videos and flv for flash files. The site is spyware free and easy to use. If you’d like to try, you can view a demo video or download a free trial. Jaksta also offers support for their users.
Ok, I’m sort of compressing news bits here. Zac Efron, due to the huge success of High School Musical 3, may just have sealed himself as the blockbuster movie actor that we him to be. I really think he’s a great actor and that people see more of his superficial features than his talent. (and Shia La Beouf… pffft)
Partly due to his new movie hitting #1 this week, another movie has been prepped up for Zac. Variety is reporting that Paramount is fast-tracking ‘Footloose’ which may grant Efron a 500K paycheck.
After watching Zac Efron and director Kenny Ortega deliver a $42 million opening weekend for “High School Musical 3,” Paramount Pictures has fast-tracked “Footloose,” hoping to get the film ready for Efron and Ortega to start production next spring.
The studio has brought on “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” director Peter Sollett to rewrite the Jon Hartmere script and hired Craig Zadan and Neil Meron to join Dylan Sellers as producer.
Unlike “HSM3,” “Footloose” will aim for an older teen and adult demo. Efron is just about set in a deal that will pay him a mid-seven-figure salary and give him script approval.
I’m often bewildered by those wonderful furnitures found in some movies. You see, I’m more of an old soul so I appreciate leather couches and antiques. I’ve seen them in movies like The Godfather and all those other organized crime movies. I sometimes hope I was one of those guys who owned casinos and big business - without the bad guy role of course.
If you’re like me, then you might love the couches and sofas found in BuyCouchesOnline.com. The site has a great gallery of living room furniture that ranges from leather to fabric couches, sectional and reclining couches, love seats and, one that definitely caught my eye, home theater seating. Now that’s something you can use for enjoyable movie viewing. Having a home theater is certainly one of my dreams in life and to see those in the site just made me giddy for them.
Judging by their prices I think you’re really getting your money’s worth as the products come with discounts ranging from 30% to as much as 50 percent. There’s also free shipping included (even to Canada and Alaska) and no sales tax in the lower 48 states excluding California. If you’re interested, please drop by the website. They assure that your privacy is safe and provide detailed information with regards to some questions you may have including shipping and handling, and returns. The image above is one example of the couches available in the site.
In what has become a star-studded movie, Tim Burton has cast Crispin Glover (more known as Charlie’s Angels Thin Man) in his reimagining of Alice in Wonderland. Crispin is set to play the Knave of Hearts who is put to trial by the Queen of Hearts for stealing her tarts.
The movie has gotten a lot of buzz in recent months with the casting of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. Other cast members include Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen and Mia Wasikowska as Alice. The movie is set for release in 2010.
So yeah, he is old, but in his new movie Clint Eastwood plays the part. I didn’t bother checking out the synopsis of the movie because all Clint Eastood flicks are beyond me (if he ever did something like Dude Where’s My Car Though, that’s my movie).
I do find the trailer cool especially because of the stark contrasts between the old and current views. I realize that a lot of folks would be skeptical of Asian neighbors especially in predominantly white states in the country, and I think the movie has a good message of seeing past colors. Plus Eastwood is kick ass in the way he uses his hand in miming a gun shooting (and quite scary too). I guess I’ll be watching this movie.
As I went along writing for this movie, the thought of putting up a production biz had always crossed my mind. Part of it is probably the fact that you are easily able to create an impression when you say that you’re part of a production company, but also because I think I could excel in such a business. I wouldn’t advice anyone to dive into such a business especially without knowing the ins and outs. Sure we all have an idea of how it works - it’s just movies and tickets right?!
Wrong! From other businesses that I’ve come across I learned that it would be best to learn things from existing businesses however small they are then build from there. Getting an experience doesn’t necessarily mean staying for five years. Often times, a couple of months will do. But be sure to keep your connections open so you can ask for an opinion if you need one.
As far as putting your own, it would be good to incorporate a business by getting investors and not just you. As I canvassed movies and shows around, I realized that it would be lighter if there were more people doing the job (mainly advertising and promotion) and that’s exactly what a corporation does to you. Not to mention it also makes your business sound really professional.
If you’re in the U.S., you might think it’s hard to incorporate but from reading ClickandInc.com, I learned that you dont even need a lawyer to do that. I would suggest you to form an llc if you intend to get investors but I would also recommend that you do your research first. Check out their site and learn how to incorporate a business in any state
Lastly, if you have qualms about it but there’s something going through your head telling you it would work, chances are it would work. Of course, going for the risk is different from suicide. Analysis and calculations should always be considered. I mean, you wouldn’t be diving into a pool without water, right?
I’m not usually one to write about Twilight fans since the demographic is too wide - from cool ones to the downright demented. Some of the crazy ones have gone on this site to contest my personal opinion that the book is teeny bopper. I hoped to write about them someday and this is quite an opportune time.
Today I caught an article on the Philippine Inquirer entitled “Diary of a Twilight Fan.” This is a glimpse…
My sister read the book first. The next day, she passed it to me. The book was passed around and soon, other batchmates and younger students in our school got hooked on it too.
I was so obsessed with “Twilight” that we had to buy two sets of the then three books to add to our collection. One was for letting other people borrow, and one was for our personal reading pleasure. You could only imagine the wear and tear these books will get after being read so many times by so many people.
Coupled with my obsession was the need to know more information about it. I visited Stephenie Meyer’s website, eager to know which celebrities will play which character in the movie, to read the scenes not included in the book and to view pictures of parties celebrating each book’s release.[source]
Further on you read about Stephenie Meyer’s site and cosplay, and Jasper (Ohhh.. Jasper). So to my demented readers, this one’s for you.
I’ve always been fascinated with the fishes. I still remember when I was a kid, one of my greatest dreams was to be a sea doctor (whatever that is). It’s probably because of my tropic roots, I love the beach even if I think I cant swim. I’ve survived some scuba and snorkeling but I’m nowhere near comfortable without anyone with me. So I figured why not bring the waters onto my home instead.
You can do this by getting an aquarium but filling it up salt water fish can be the bummer - and we know how overly used the gold fish is. If you’re thinking about the same things I said, why no drop by ReefHotSpot.com and check out the salt water fish they have on their site.
Some of the fishes you’ll find include the Blue Spot Jawfish, the Annularis Angel and the Black Cap Jawfish. They also sell live coral and live rock along with dry goods so I think this all make up for one really awesome mix.
They offer discounts and free shipping to orders over $225 so I suggest you order all at once. Please drop by the site for more information regarding their business.
It sounds like a similar plot excepts it’s a comedy and Ashton Kutcher’s the lead.
Lionsgate has set Ashton Kutcher to star in and Robert Luketic to direct “Five Killers,” an action comedy that will begin production early next year.
Kutcher will play a former hit man whose life is turned upside down because someone from his past has paid a group of killers to bump him off.[source]
Either I dont really see Ashton being that cool anymore (since Dude Where’s my Car, that is) or his movies have just not been my type. Either way, I know some of you still like him. So cheers.
Almost all of us are at awe at Hollywood and the movie star its made. Part of it comes the glamorous lifestyle they, and of course the fame that they’ve attained. Unfortunately, life has its way of transpiring and not all of us end up marrying a high profile personality. But I can offer you some tips on how you could be one.
Pampering is probably one of the reasons why celebrities look so glamorous. They seem free of stress and their skin is always aglow. And one of the places you can be pampered is the Spa. Whether it’s getting a massage, a wax, or a skin care treatment, the spa is definitely the one place that most celebs constantly lurk in. Most spa’s offer packages that allow you to pay cheaper with more benefits. Some of them also have gentlemen services and packages.
A recommended spa in Venice Florida would be the Little Day Spa and they do offer services similar to what I enumerated above. Checking their website, they seem to be located in the area of Brandon, Bradenton and St. Petersburg, Florida. All the information regarding their services including prices, appointments, privacy, etc. are available in their website. Get a taste of hollywood at www.TheLitteDaySpa.com
