The development of Voltron has turned a little nicer today with Relativity media backing the project “on a moderate budget,” according to Variety, and “utilizing the type of cost-effective technology employed in films including 300.”
It also amazed me that Justin Marks’ name is tagged in this movie as well. I mean, his name’s been tagged with several other cool movies coming up such as The Legend of Chun Li, He-Man, Green Arrow, and Bionic Commando. This guy’s pretty busy…
But what’s even more interesting is the plot he’s writing for Voltron:
Marks’ take is described as a post-apocalyptic tale set in New York City and Mexico, where five survivors of an alien attack band together and end up piloting the five lion-shaped robots that combine and form the massive sword-wielding Voltron that helps battle Earth’s invaders. [source]
That was so wonderfully pitched, I’m sold to watch the movie.
