The video above was unusual to me. One, it was James Franco and Seth Rogen conversing casually to promote their new movie Pineapple Express without going all marketty about it. Two, I didn’t really think Seth Rogen could be civilized. I mean, I take him as a smart guy - more of a Hollywood businessman than an actor really - but going a full 30 seconds with “limitted” cuss words and no innuendo’s pertaining to sex, drugs, rock and roll (which Pineapple Express was pretty much about), well I’ll be. This Hollywood is getting creepy.
But what was even more unusual to me was James Franco throwing the words “gay” ..”drag queen” and my favorite, “burly” in this gay conversation by straight men. And the fact that he reveals going into a bar called the TrannyShack didn’t sound good for his heterosexuality either. I decided to go to IMDB in search for better understanding…
James Franco is set to play the role of Sean Penn’s boyfriend in the movie Milk based on the real-life story of Harvey Milk, a gay rights activist and the first openly gay city supervisor of San Francisco. You can check the documentary The Times of Harvey Milk on YouTube for more on this story.

Well, at least they can discuss such topics without losing their heterosexuality. They are both such MEN, ya know? And I agree with you about the lack of cussin’ & refs to adolescent topics of body parts, etc. Now THOSE topics are just so lame.
(Go on with your handsome self, Mr.Franco!)
