Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist Movie Trailer

Categories: Michael Cera, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Trailers

Take your cue from Superbad and Juno, and all that Michael Cera will do for the rest of his life is play a dude whom chicks would wanna sex for the misconception that he’s a virgin loser. I wont admit that I see myself in his roles, but I will watch this movie. Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist hits theaters October 3, 2008. =P

Venom Movie Is Happening

Categories: Spiderman, Updates, Venom

It seems film makers aren’t only gearing up to make superhero movies; they’re creating for supervillains as well. Magneto and Catwoman aren’t the only comic characters wanting to grab the Hollywood limelight, Venom also wants in.

The bad news is that Topher Grace, the dude from that 70’s show who played Venom in Spiderman is unlikely to turn because he’s more of a supporting character.

The UPI reported earlier that “Sony is developing a movie spinoff for the Marvel Comics baddie… The studio hired “Mean Creek” writer Jacob Estes to write the screenplay for a Venom-themed project”

What Just Happened Movie Trailer

Categories: Bruce Willis, Reviews, Robert de Niro, Sean Penn, Trailers, What Just Happened

So I saw this trailer. It had Robert de Niro, Sean Penn and Bruce Willis in it. But it’s no action movie. I probably shouldn’t like it but the artsy-fartsy in me says with all the super hero movies coming out, I could use one that makes me think.

“What Just Happened? is a Hollywood satirical comedy-drama starring Robert De Niro as a fading Hollywood producer trying to survive the humiliations of Hollywood, while struggling to get his new movie made during two weeks of hell, meanwhile going through his second divorce.

What Just Happened? is an independent film, produced by 2929 Productions, Art Linson Productions and Tribeca Productions with an expected 2008 release.” [source]

New DragonBall Movie Picture Looks… Weird

Categories: Dragonball, Justin Chatwin, Pictures

Not even the masterful photoshop skills of those who’ve made its posters could quell the skepticism about the upcoming DragonBall movie. And the more pictures they release, the first impression just becomes greater - it’s not a question of if the DragonBall movie will suck, but rather how much it will suck.

The new picture I caught has the same three things all DragonBall movie photos have had - an orange ball, Justin Chatwin with a beaver on his head, and clothing that he clearly doesn’t patronize. Not only that, this time he manages to drag Emmy Rossum with him to this path of oriental greatness.

I’m starting to really hate it.

So if there’s anyone listening, please release the trailer already. That might give fanboys some inspiration before their childhoods get ruined.

B-Dry

Categories: Uncategorized

Especially now that it’s summer, it would probably be good for you to make time to repair some of the damages in your home. Now, every home has its little fixes needed to be done but there are some that just has to be taken greater attention - especially if it could potentially cause further damage to your home. What I’m talking about are the pump leaks and flooding basements.

Leaks and floods are common in many homes as it’s something you have to deal with every now and then. Homeowners can deal with them often but for others, professional help would be the only way to go. One company I could recommend for you to contact is B-Dry, a Homeowner Basement Waterproofing company if you’re dealing with wet basement, foundation, or crawlspace,  and I suggest you contact them immediately before the damage gets worse.

What’s good with their service is that they offer free estimates which many homeowners would definitely prefer and benefit from. And if that’s not enough, they also offer a lifetime warranty.

When you have been in service for over 50 years, been awarded a government patent, and operate with over 60 different licenses and franchises nationwide, that’s already telling of a good company, even if it’s for basement waterproofing. And that is exactly what The B-Dry System is all about.

Johnny Depp Is Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland Movie

Categories: 2010, Alice in Wonderland, Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Updates

Johnny Depp is bound to play the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. Depp, already known to play eccentric roles in his movies should give this character a lot of craze.

The Hatter is a fictional character initially encountered at a tea party in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and later again as “Hatta” in the story’s sequel, Through the Looking Glass. He is popularly referred to as the “Mad Hatter,” but is never called by this name in Carroll’s book- although the Cheshire Cat does warn Alice that he is mad, and the Hatter’s eccentric behavior supports this. The The film also reunites him with director Tim Burton with whom he’s made several blockbusters including Sweeney Todd, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood and my favorite, Edward Scissorhands. Tim Burton has also cast Mia Wasikowska to play Alice in the movie.

Alice in Wonderland is set to hit theaters in 2010. Please subscribe to BackLineMedia for more updates on this movie.

XMen 4 Movie Coming?

Categories: Rumors, X-Men Origins, XMen 4

Several sites have been abuzz lately with XMen: First Class being listed in this week’s upcoming projects from Production Weekly - a site that “provides the entertainment industry with a comprehensive breakdown of projects in pre-production, preparation, and active development for film and television.”

Now I wouldn’t normally get ahead of myself, but I think XMen Origins: Wolverine and XMen Origins: Magneto, both set to hit theaters in 2009, could very well be a primer for the telling of another origin - the formation of the XMen.

For millions of years, mankind’s place on Earth was unchallenged – until five young people paved the way for a new kind of human. While students at the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters, Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Angel, Beast and Iceman taught the world what it meant to be X-Men. These are the hidden stories of the team that laid the foundation of a mutant dynasty!

This is purely speculation on my part and for all you know it might be a television series. If you’d like receive updates on this movie and all the other things I write here in BackLineMedia, please subscribe.

Yay for shameless self promotion! =P
