With all the hype surrounding Marvel’s lineup of movies - Punisher: War Zone, War Machine, Thor, Captain America, Spiderman 4.. whew.. Iron Man 2 and the Avengers Movie - you might be leaving out an itty-bitty figure, and for good reason, he’s not even a centimeter tall.

The Antman movie (there is no formal name yet) is expected to come out in 2010 and already there is buzz that writer Edgar Wright might be turning it into a comedy. He added however that it wouldn’t be the slapstick kind of comedy.

Source: I think some people assume that it must be a spoof, but it’s not really. I guess it’s as funny as something like Iron Man is, it’s on that level of entertainment, really. It’s a big, high concept, special effects comic book adaptation

I think Antman should very well be funny since I dont think anyone would take an ant-sized superhero seriously, especially if he has a love interest. How are they even gonna kiss? I think all the odd circumstances would work only if Antman has a superb sense of humor..

And then there’s the fact that he can actually command ants, which is, from a visual point of view, even though it’s quite a stupid superpower, sounds like Sandman on meth. iLike!
