Focus Features released the trailer of their upcoming film “Burn After Reading” starring not-so-famous actors George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Tilda Swinton among many others.Like many Focus Features films - The Pianist, Brokeback Mountain, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - I expect this to be conversationally saturated, oddly deep, borderline boring and artsy fartsy.
But we know they have some way to make it all come together in the end.
An even graver reason for me to watch it (aside from the fact that Brad Pitt looks to have been put in a role where he dorks himself) is the otherwise resurrection of evil man John Malkovich. Yes, people.. he exists!
And while he was previously in Eragon and Beowulf, I dont think he’s been in any film that credits his acting since Man in the Iron Mask (which was waaaay before Leonardo cared for the environment). I dont know with you but I want my bad ass Malkovich back. This dude gives kids nightmares.
Burn After Reading opens September 12, 2008
Have you ever had to have a display where you almost feel like you’re in the flea market? Well, I’m sure a tent and table doesn’t do enough to get you noticed, dont you? or maybe you just haven’t given it a thought.
Displays can be very good eye catchers and should given great attention especially when you’re trying to market something. If you need custom trade show displays, why dont you check out www.GodfreyGroup.com as they have a huge selection of displays, booths, kiosks, banner stands, etc. If it’s a great looking display you’re after, they definitely have the right kind of display design, in the right size, with the proper specs.
This is the only company I’ve seen catering to this kind of business so I suggest you drop by their website, or call their toll free number and speak to a project manager so you can tell them your display needs. I strongly recommend it.
Bigger, Stronger, Faster is a 2008 documentary film directed by Christopher Bell about the use of steroids as performance-enhancing drugs in the United States.
When you’re in Hollywood you just cant get away from the usual night outs. However, sometimes these things do turn out badly as certain circumstances do get out of hand. If in case you do get in trouble, I suggest finding Criminal Attorneys Los Angeles | Southern California DUI, Felony, Misdemeanor Lawyers. They have over 50 years of experience as criminal defense lawyers so you can rest on them to really take a look at your case, research it and eventually win it for you.
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, the 4th installment for the Terminator franchise has started to shoot in New Mexico (which is not really Mexico), which means we’re gonna get another load of robots trying to eradicate humanity from Earth come 2009.
Christian Bale — aka. Batman — plays John Connor who, if you followed the franchise, pretty much grew up in front of your eyes. Literally. He started as a 10 year old in Terminator 2 Judgement Day, became a teen in the tv series of Sarah Connors (his mom) to now finally becoming an adult still in the clutches of a company using robots kill mankind. A life that has seen no growth which in 21st century standards is pretty boring had he did not grown a fine man. Lolz!
Anyway, other people cast in this movie includes Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men, American Gangster), Anton Yelchin (Charlie Bartlett, Star Trek).. and no Governator. Yay!
In business I have learned to use the simplest of things in order to create contacts, networks or sales, and today I’d like to tell you about how you can use photo cards to good use.
Photo Cards are such a trend today in that they make very good simple, unique and yet very memorable gifts. Apart from occasions and holidays though when they are pretty much in use, you might also try using them for invitations, or give aways to class or batch reunions, or probably even out of the simplest of things. Keep a stack of customized thank you cards perhaps.
The possibilities are endless and, really, photo cards tend to be better in that you are able to personalize it. CardsDirect.com is one website that could help you do this with ease as you only have to go to their website and see their services. They have various cards of different themes such as Christmas and Sympathy cards that you can customize to your needs. If you’re running a business, you could have your company’s name and logo in it which would be really good for you to give customers and clients. In this regard, not only does it become unique, it also becomes a good way to advertise your business.
Check out the CardsDirect.com photo cards available here and browse around. The website has all the information you need including prices and the time frame needed to complete it. It’s a useful tool that could certainly help go about sending cards without having to go through hassles conceptualizing each. I really hope you consider using it.
The initial buzz was that Kirsten Dunst was likely not be cast in the upcoming Spiderman films to be released on 2009. However, today new rumors have circulated that Sony is also unlikely to cast Tobey Mcguire for the sequel. Of course Marvel isn’t saying anything about this — pretty much so when you have a whole line of other movies to promote.
But while all camps maintain that no offer has been made yet to any actors, the buzz is that two actors are in talk to reprise the role. Who are they?
Patrick Fugit
I totally get the Peter Parker semblance and I think he’d definitely cut it for the part but seriously, I checked for photos of this dude online and he seems to have had the same hairdo since 1999.
Anyway, I dont take him for a bad actor so I guess he’d be a good Spiderman. What’s not going for me though is that he looks a bit old for the part. I checked Wikipedia and he’s apparently 25-26 so guess he fits right in. Tobey McGuire is in his 30’s.
Michael Angarano
The other Spider-dude on the so-called list is Michael Angarano who might probably play Spiderman as well just so he wouldn’t be remembered as “the guy from the Forbidden Kingdom.” Seriously, that movie sucked — and I’m Asian.
What’s not going for me is that while he looks slender and I do think he can act, I dont know, I dont see him swinging ‘cross buildings saving me. My spider sense isn’t getting a vibe. He might be a good villain though… say, Electro?
So anyways
For me, the good thing is that Tobey wouldn’t be there anymore — after his emo dance in the last installment, I sort of lost respect for him and Sam Raimi. On the other hand though, I think people should be looking other places for the next Spiderman.
With the little I know from trading - foreign exchange and stocks mainly - it would be quite an interest to look at ETF’s once in awhile. Now, I dont really trade with ETF’s but NETS white papers does provide a good step to understanding more about this industry.
ETF’s or exchange-traded fund is described to be an investment vehicle traded on stock exchanges, and holds assets such as stocks, bonds, or futures. Now the main reason why I dont really go into futures or stocks is because it’s represented by certificates which aren’t really tangible. Meaning, unlike gold or oil or cash, they’re hard to trade when you need to. ETF’s seem to be similar.
Now I do understand how profitable these things are, or else it wouldn’t have made so many millionaires, and the risk is stated on NETSetfs.com. If there’s one thing I know about trading, it’s that you dont succeed all of the time, and sometimes greed could get you to lose more than enough. If you’re the type who would wanna try your luck at this, I suggest you do enough research before jumping in. But having said that, trading isn’t really that hard once you’ve a good grasp at it.
With June only a couple of days away and summer sweeping past the California coast, here are a couple of good excuses to get away from the sun. I’d say the upcoming movies for June are quite the popcorn quality. As kids are the ones hanging out the malls anyway, most of the flicks seem to be made for them.

Kung Fu Panda
I’ve had it marked ever since I saw Jack Black at Cannes. I even have one post solely for it… I think the reviews for this one were pretty good though I’m not expecting too much because that’s just how I am with ensemble casts.
You Dont Mess With the Zohan
I always found Adam Sandler films hilarious so I know this one’s good enough to pay 10 bucks for. In this movie, he plays a Jewish guy named Zohan who leaves the james bond life to be a New York hairdresser. Rob Schneider, who is just as hilarious as Sandler, plays an Arab guy, (probably Palestinian but I’m not sure) and finds Zohan while driving a cab.

The Happening
It has a freaky trailer that I somehow can’t find a connection with. I dont know if it’s because of Mark Wahlberg or that it’s another M. Night Shyamalan flick. For me the “Shyamalan dynasty” started with Sixth Sense and ended with Signs. Seriously, that dude is one over rated writer-director-whatever.
The Incredible Hulk
Lucky for you The Incredible Hulk will show the same day as The Happening, so you wont have to endure boringly conceived dark flicks. Plus, you know how I am with comic derived movies, I get orgasmic talking about them. I’m not much of a Hulk fan - just coz he reminds of Slimer. - but I do think this movie is worth watching. Edward Norton, for one, is a pretty convincing actor.

Get Smart
Steve Carell. ‘Nuff said. The guy is funny even when he’s not trying. But I would warn you for some corniness — Steve Carell films tend to be slapstick most of the time so you’ll have to sift through your inner comedian. For me, it is his dead pan humor that draws wonders. This films also has The Rock..
The Love Guru
Like Carell, Myers isn’t one that I adore much - or actually, not at all. Other than Shrek, I’ve never really seen any of his films. He’s a bit weird but not so much like Will Ferrel. So I guess we’ll just have to find other movies to watch other than his. =P
Kit Kittredge: An American Girl
If you watch Oprah, you do anything she says and Kit Kittredge is one of the movies she’s recommended people to see. Again, I’m pretty much sold out to movies that rock as opposed to girly flicks that remind me of how childhood-deprived i’ve been.. so I’ll skip this one.

WALL-E
Yet another animated flick. Again, one I’m not excited with… but I’m sure many are.
Wanted
This film doesn’t get enough advertising which certainly makes it quite underrated. I think I wanna watch it because it’s Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman. But I might wait until I see the reviews. Trailer below
Because Americans still had not done enough to make their lives miserable, now they’ll have to endure another suffering - Spider-man Musical. This barely a day after news circled about Spiderman 4 and 5.
I know the trend is for comics to go across tv and film, but Spiderman, on stage? I can just see how cheezy this one will be:
Peter Parker is suddenly British, and so is the rest of the cast. He sounds like David Archuleta.
It will be about his love for Mary Jane… otherwise, it wouldn’t be gay.
Aunt May will be the main source of cliches.
The Goblin and Spidey will swing around the stage half of the time.
