Season 3 of Heroes wasn’t as good as the first 2 seasons but the 4th looks like it has a good premise. I guess people have noticed my one comment about the franchise for so long - there are no real heroes other than Hiro Nakamura, and everyone’s just living their lives either-or. This is definitely not the way to tap into the stereotype-driven super hero audience.
Maybe Nathan should just be a villain. Maybe Peter should be a hero. Maybe Parkman should be a hero. Maybe Suresh should be a villain. It’d be better for people like us to look forward to the next episode with someone to relate to.
My crowds and I all have similar new year resolutions for the year of the Ox. Being healthy is the main goal but losing weight is a big part of some. I myself am targeting to lose 20 pounds this year but I have friends who look at losing 50 pounds and over. I’m looking to support them in this endeavor and do whatever I can for myself as well. We’ve already agreed to exercising, dieting and taking some medication to help. No one knows if Kathy did it on purpose but this not surprising considering she’s a comedienne known for grabbing attention for herself. The FCC doesn’t have any regulation on cable cursing either. So unless you’re worried that Kathy would lose one of her gays Anderson Cooper with this spat, I dont think you should see this as a problem.
Going out is one of our family’s hobbies. Even now when we’ve already grown up, we always make it a point to eat out together. It’s almost a common thing for me and my brother to discuss restaurants that are being put up, or new recommendations from friends. And we do check them out. Although we eat everything - whether it be a pizza place or a steak restaurant - all of us are just suckers for seafood. I personally love clams and calamari, my brother both love shrimp and crabs, and my parents always look for salmon. So when I came across a site for a seafood restaurant today, I just couldn’t help but tell them.
the restaurant is called The Oceanaire and they specialize in oyster. They even have a wonderful tag for it - “to eat an oyster is to kiss the sea on the lips.” Oh, I feel hungry already. For those of you who do not know what the Troopers are, just think of star wars troopers. They’re pretty much the same - they’re all clad in uniform from head to toe and they have this menacing desire to ruin the lives of our heroes. Well, images of the G.I. I already said that my motif for the New Year would be idiosyncrasy and part of it is trying to learn how to skate. This after speaking to one of my friends last night and learned that he too was into skating and surfing. I figured, hey it’s never too late to be into such sports. For awhile now I’ve been following updates on Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds starring Brad Pitt. Now it looks like a play date has been set for the movie - August 9, 2009. Caught the story from Cinematical along with an analogy with the types of movies released in that period.
So it seems The Weinstein Co. has opted to release Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds on August 21, 2009, which seems to be a strange date for not only a Tarantino flick, but also one starring Brad Pitt that’s set during World War II. Late August is usually dumping ground for iffy action flicks and C-grade comedies. This past August 22 saw the release of Death Race, The House Bunny and The Longshots, to give you an example of the type of films we expect to arrive on that weekend.
When you think about the New Year, you must be hearing a mix of good and bad reviews and predictions from a lot of people. If you ask me, I think there’s nothing better than hoping for the best and preparing for the worst. That’s for all things ranging from mental, physical, financial and spiritual. All that’s good but I think we should also pay attention to things that we may not get a hold of and potentially blindside us. What I’m talking about is security.
